Maryland Hall's Artists-in-Residence Program provides a supportive atmosphere for artists in a collective setting. The program offers two distinct residencies: one for three-years in length and one for 12 months. Artists are selected by a jury process as vacancies become available.
Both AIR programs offer studio space and opportunities to participate in a variety of programs and activities. AIRs may participate in an annual AIR group exhibit of work done within the past year, a solo exhibit in the Martino Gallery once every 18-24 months, open studio days and MHCA open houses. AIRs may also apply to teach classes in their artistic discipline through MHCA's education program. AIRs work and web site links are included on the MHCA web site and AIR news is included in MHCA publications and outreach materials.
