| | Dance: Ballet Theatre of MarylandIntermediate Ballet 2 Description: This class is designed to develop additional strength and refinement in pointe and/or one's work for the intermediate-level student. Emphasis is placed on proper alignment, sculpting the legs and feet, anatomically building both endurance and stamina for executing advanced pre-professional class work. Prerequisite: Five or more years of previous ballet training and mastery of Intermediate 1 exams, audition and faculty approval. The attire for all classes, except where otherwise noted, is as follows: Girls: Black BTM leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers. No jewelry and hair must be neatly pulled back from the face. Boys: White t-shirt, black tights and white or black ballet slippers.
Please Note: Beginning 2009-2010, BTM ‘s black leotard may be purchased exclusively through BTM. Order forms are available on are website, www.balletmaryland.org, or by calling our office at 410-263-8289 or 443-891-3408. Forms will also be available in classrooms the first few weeks of class.
